About Dr. Erin Thorne

Education

Dr. Erin Thorne is a licensed naturopathic physician practicing in Seattle, WA. Dr. Thorne attended the accredited National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon and received two degrees, a Naturopathic Doctorate (ND) degree and a Master's of Science in Integrative Medical Research (MSiMR). Dr. Thorne completed her residency training at Holistique Medical Center in Bellevue.

Functional & Naturopathic Approach

Dr. Thorne approaches women's health and medicine from a naturopathic and functional medicine perspective. This approach involves treating the root cause of disease. Her naturopathic training is founded in the philosophy that the body has an innate ability to heal itself and empowering patients by educating you about your body is of utmost importance. The functional medicine training provided additional technical skills for lab interpretation and treatments

Dr. Erin Thorne on Alcohol & Support

Dr. Erin Thorne is a licensed naturopathic doctor in the state of Washington who has dedicated her career to maximizing the health and well-being of women. She’s also the daughter of two alcoholic parents. Her intensely personal experience with alcohol, along with seeing so many women who struggle with drinking, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, or PTSD, led Dr. Thorne to create this healing space. She understands that this is about more than willpower, that these mental health concerns are far more complex than many people realize.

Left unchecked, they also can lead to physical and hormonal problems that need to be addressed, such as weight gain, fatigue, mood swings, PMS, hair loss, or eating disorders.

That’s why a blend of mind and body healing is necessary for effective treatment: Literature and therapy can be powerful in addressing the factors driving alcohol use or other concerns, but patients also need nutrition and physiology support to repair themselves physically.

Dr. Thorne brings it all together, determining a personalized plan for every patient, and helping them reach their mental and physical health goals.

If alcohol is affecting your life, your well-being, your sense of self, you’re not alone—and you’re not broken. You’re just stuck, and you can move forward, all it takes to start is one step.

 Personal

Born and raised in Alaska, Dr. Thorne enjoys the great outdoors. She lives in Seattle with her husband and their two daughters. She enjoys growing sunflowers and pumpkins, dancing, puzzles, and beach combing.
