I am a firm believer of walking the walk I talk. I strive to teach, inspire, and educate my patients on whole body health, and striving for a full life with energy, vitality and joy. I lift weights, I love dance fitness, I love cooking and eating healthy whole foods. I am a mother of two girls and and two twin shih tzus boys. I am on a mission to help women thrive through the perimenopause transition or menopause stage of life...and believe that it's possible.

Costs of Service
*Dr. Thorne can still order blood work that can be billed to insurance.
However, Dr. Thorne is not in-network with any insurance companies or medicare programs. Dr. Thorne DOES offer a "Superbill" after each visit for patients to submit to insurance for partical reimbersement depending on their healthcare plan.
Payment is still due at time of service.
If you are planning in using a superbill, you will want to ask your insurance company what the coverage is for an "Out-of-network provider" and what they would cover for a "99204 and/or 99214" coded visit.

Can Dr. Thorne be my Primary Care Doc?
Intro to Clinic VideoDr. Thorne is not operating as a Primary Care Physician and has instead chosen to specialize in conditions listed above.
Dr. Thorne requires and recommends that all patients see a PCP at least once a year for their annual phsyical since Dr. Thorne is exclusively virtual.
Is it only Telehealth options?
ScheduleVIRTUAL TELEMEDICINE ONLY. Dr. Thorne works with all of her patients virtually. There are no in-person visits available at this time. This is part of the reason that Dr. Thorne recommends or requires that all patients have a PCP do a physical exam at least once a year, and stay on top of mammograms, colonscopies and other routine exams.
What type of HRT is utilized?
- A larger percentage of my patients opt for the body identical Estradiol patches, Estradiol vaginal inserts or cream and oral micronized progesterone available at your local Walgreens or pharmacy and can be billed to insuarnce. These are all FDA approved medications for treatment of menopause.
- Dr. Thorne also prescribes testosterone creame that is NOT FDA approved for women, however it can be compouded and utilized is desired.
- Some patients request compounded hormones (estrogen or progesterone) for allergic reasons or personal preferences and Dr. Thorne can support and manage these prescriptions as well.
Can my bloodwork still be billed to insurance?
Yes!
Although Dr. Thorne is not in-network with insurance, Dr. Thorne can still order lab work that can billed to your insurance company with the diagnosis codes from the visit.

At your first visit you can expect a thorough review your health history and most importantly your health goals with Dr. Thorne. In this first visit you will often be provided a plan for nutrition, and lifestyle modifications to implement on day one. You will also be given a lab order for deeper investigation of the root cause of your concern. Please upload any past labs or documents you would like her to review before your visit.
*60 minute new patient visits are recommended for patients with 2+ health concerns, ex; hormones and thyroid or hormones, thyroid, and digestive issues.
*45 minute new patient visits are recommended for women that are otherwise healthy and have 1+ health concern ex; menopause HRT support.
Blood Work (billed through insurance + additional co-pay)
- Blood Sugar panel (ex; Hga1c, Insulin, Leptin, fasting glucose)
- Thyroid Panel (ex; TSH, FT3, FT4, RT3, Total T3, T4, Iodine, Thyroid antibodies)
- Inflammation/Immune Panel (ex; ESR, CRP, CD57 immune, ferritin)
- Nutrient Panel (ex; iron, zinc, magnesium, selenium, iodine, B12, B6, Folate, vitamin D)
- Addition hormones (ex; FSH, LH, AMH, Estrone sulfate, DHEA sulfate, Prolactin)
- Cholesterol Panel (ex; NMR lipid profile looks at size and types of cholesterol, sticky vs non-sticky)
Rates & Superbills :
Dr. Thorne does not accept insurance and is an out-of-network-provider. You can ask your insurer what they cover for an, "out of network provider using 99204 or 99214 CPT codes," often it's more than you would think. (Premera, BCBS) You will be given a superbill at the end of your visit to submit to insurance for partial reimbursement. HSA AND FSA are also accepted.

After you have selected an initial investment below you can expect to do an additional 3-month followup to tweak and monitor hormones and protocols. Depending on your response and protocol some HRT patients follow-up with $200 lab panel every 6-12 months, others more frequently that have more complicated conditions.
